Tips For Street Parking Near The Lincoln Center
Fortunately, parking near central park’s west side is not as daunting as much of lower manhattan. Although finding street parking is possible, you must plan strategically. Be sure to pay careful attention to all signs, especially those about street cleaning, to avoid getting an expensive NYC parking ticket or having your car towed.
- Limited unmetered parking is available from 66th and up in between Columbus and Central Park West. Availability and restrictions are subject to change. Most of this area is subject to alt-side parking during the day, so beware of signs with a crossed out “P” before leaving your vehicle.
- The further north and towards central park you travel, the greater the odds you find an on-street spot.
- 2 hour metered parking is also available throughout the evening on a first come basis on both Columbus and Broadway Avenues for 3.50/hour.
Alternate Side Parking Near The Lincoln Center
Alternate Side parking or “Alt-Side Parking” for short, are a set of NYC parking restrictions that make parking illegal on one side of the street for a few hours a day to allow for street cleaning. All areas marked by a red capital “P” with a broom across it indicates alt-side parking. Restrictions are subject to suspension for holidays and emergencies, but typically are on restricted for varying 3 hour time periods. Check out the NYCDOT twitter feed @NYCASP on alt-side parking to make sure you’re on the right side of the street!
